An admission: I don't own a lot of dvds.
But the dvds I own do have a lot of extra features on them that I just haven't watched......whether it due to lack of time, my girlfriend generally falling asleep by the end of the main feature so not being that keen on watching it again with some talking over it, or because they sound horribly dull.
Well not any more - during these harsh economic times in an attempt to get my money's worth from my (modest) dvd collection, I am making it my solemn mission to watch every single piece of bonus footage that I have on disk. (shit, I just remembered I've got a special edition 2-disc Fellowship Of The Ring...better get a weekend booked in for that one), and post a review/comment/photo of a facial expression to sum up my experience.
Hopefully I'll find some precious lost gems that I'll treasure for years to come. But I'll probably end up just thinking "yup, those scenes were deleted for a reason".
Call it a journey of discovery if you like...I hope you will all join me for the ride
